What does the Legendary lifetime warranty cover?

Our lifetime warranty covers four things — all rooted in the work we did or the materials we used: (1) installation defects (leaks, rattles, seal failures), (2) water leaks from windshield seal failures, (3) adhesive failures (urethane bond issues that cause the glass to move, lift, or detach under normal driving), and (4) ADAS recalibration drift after a windshield replacement (if your forward-facing camera goes out of spec because of our work, we recalibrate it at no charge). Glass manufacturer defects are also covered — if the glass itself fails due to a factory defect, we replace it.

What isn't covered by the warranty?

Accepted Answer

Three things are not covered: (1) new rock chips or impact damage from road debris that occurs after the installation, (2) collision or accident damage (frame damage, body damage, airbag deployment), and (3) manufacturer glass faults that fall outside the manufacturer's own warranty terms. Damage from improper car washes, normal wiper wear, and aftermarket modifications are also outside warranty coverage. The warranty covers our workmanship and our installation — not new impacts or accidents.

How long is 'lifetime' — and is it really for the life of the vehicle?

Accepted Answer

Lifetime means the life of the vehicle you own at the time of installation, while it remains registered and roadworthy. We don't define it through some corporate cliff at year three or after a change of ownership. We mean it: if a Legendary installation fails because of how we did the work, we fix it. Eric and Tiffany Curtis own the shop and have been in this community for years. They aren't going anywhere.

How do I file a warranty claim?

Accepted Answer

Three steps: (1) Call (804) 518-5532 and describe what you're seeing — leak location, noise, ADAS warning, whatever it is. (2) We assess it in person or via photos you text or email. If it's a warranty issue, we say so plainly and don't sell you on anything. (3) We fix it at no charge. Warranty work is done at no cost to you — no diagnostic fees, no partial coverage, no runaround. We schedule the work the same week in most cases.

Question 5

What should I bring when I come in for a warranty claim?

Accepted Answer

Bring four things if you have them: (1) your work order number or the date of your original installation so we can pull the job record, (2) the last four of your VIN or your license plate so we can match the vehicle, (3) photos of the issue if you can — close-ups of the leak spot, the gap, or the ADAS warning light help us prep before you arrive, and (4) your insurance info if you think the issue might actually be a new impact rather than a warranty issue. That's it — we handle the rest.

Does the warranty cover ADAS recalibration drift after a windshield replacement?

Accepted Answer

Yes — ADAS recalibration drift is covered. If your forward-facing camera (lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection) goes out of spec after our windshield replacement, we recalibrate it at no charge. We perform both static and dynamic ADAS calibration in-house with Autel equipment. If a dashboard warning or pull to one side appears within the warranty window, call us — we'll re-run the calibration and document the result.
